Network Center & Other Coaching Classes


1. Establishment of UGC-Network Resource Center (UGC-NRC) in the college.

To create awareness among staff and students about the use of computers in various activities like administration, finance, examination, research, and in addition to information and communication network to have an access to multimedia material in teaching and learning at places of eminence in India and abroad in our college established UGC sponsored Net work Resource Center

2. Remedial Coaching for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Minorities.

To improve academic skills and linguistic proficiency of the SC/ST/OBC/Minority students in various subjects.
To raise the level of comprehension of basic subjects to provide a stronger foundation for further academic work of SC/ST/OBC/Minority students
To strengthen knowledge, skills and attitudes of SC/ST/OBC/Minority students in such subjects where quantitative and qualitative techniques are involved.
We started UGC sponsored Remedial Coaching classes for SC/ST/OBC/Minority students. M.R. Thimmanna, Associate Professor, Department of History is the Co-ordinator of this programme

3. Coaching Classes for entry in services for SC/ST/OBC(Non-creamy layer) and Minorities.

In order to prepare students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority communities to get gainful employment in central and other services in our college started UGC sponsored coaching classes for entry in services for SC/ST/OBC/Minority community students. G.A. Chandrashekharappa, Associate Professor, Department of Economics is the coordinator of this programme

4. Career and Counseling Cell in the College.

In order to develop soft skills and communication ability to challenge the rigors of competitive tests and on-job-training in add-on or vocational courses and to build healthy inter and intra personal relations and to inculcate social values and ability to think independently for carrying social responsibilities in our college established UGC sponsored career and counseling cell for students. J.A. Sitaram, Asst. Professor, Dept. of English is the counseling officer.

5. Equal Opportunity center in College.

To oversee the effective implementation of policies and programmes for disadvantaged groups, to provide guidance and counseling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus we established Equal Opportunity Center. P. Srishailappa, Associate Professor, Dept. of Kannada is the counseling officer

6. Foundation course in Human Rights Education

To provide legal literacy in the form of Rights Education in our college started UGC sponsored short term certificate Course in Human Rights Education. M. Gangadharappa, Associate Professor, Dept. of Pol. Science is the convener.
